Sue Adams

Founder

Sue Adams is a wife and mother of five adult children. She developed a passion for horses as a show mom for two daughters who rode and competed in upper-level dressage. As her last two children prepared to graduate high school, Sue sought new opportunities for her next stage in life as an “empty nest” parent. She discovered therapy incorporating horses as a treatment tool and her dream of using her home’s dressage barn as a place for people with special needs to grow, work and play was born.

Sue has spent six years learning about the needs of the community, improving her horse skills and networking to find excellent professionals to partner with her at the barn before Woodland Strides was born in 2018.
