Supported Employment
We believe most individuals with disabilities are capable of working when provided with the right support. The adults in our supported employment program report satisfaction from working, including giving back to society, the physical exercise of working outside and earning paychecks. We provide an accommodating work environment, tailored to each individuals needs and goals. Trained volunteers and staff assist with breaking down tasks into more manageable steps, implementing adaptive strategies, prompting as needed, modeling job skills and overseeing safety. Our employees are funded by Futures Explored, a program of Alta Regional Center.
We also have adults with special needs who volunteer as part of our vocational training program to build job skills with a goal of obtaining paid employment. Our workers get to be around horses, work outdoors and make our therapy services for children possible by helping to take care of the therapy horses.
